Vivotek Forms Team Bolida for Vertical Markets

Vivotek recently announced the creation of a new project team devoted to enhancing partnership and development efficiency. The newly created Bolida project team is believed by Vivotek to be able to see 40% growth in project revenue in 2010.

Vivotek is one of the leading manufacturers for IP network surveillance devices including IP cameras, video servers, NVRs and IP surveillance software.

Vivotek IP Cameras Installed at PHO24 Restaurants

Vivotek IP network cameras were recently installed at 45 PHO24 franchise locations. PHO24 is a restaurant chain located globally with over 50 restaurants specializing in serving traditional Vietnamese Pho noodles. The Vivotek IP7135 and IP7131 fixed network cameras were chosen for installation at each location due to several factors including low cost, compact size, low light performance and 3GPP mobile surveillance support. PoE support included with the IP7131 also contributed to reducing the overall installation cost due to PoE eliminating additional cabling costs.

Through the use of the VIVOTEK cameras, the restaurant manager can keep an eye on the staff to evaluate their work performance and customers requiring service. He can also be alerted immediately when someone tries to access the cash drawer without permission. “The IP surveillance system is extremely helpful, especially when managing stores distributed throughout the nation. We can monitor each store not only remotely but also centrally, which saves us time and cost,” said a spokesman for PHO24.

STS Selects Arecont Vision Megapixel IP Cameras

Arecont Vision recently announced the integration of Arecont megapixel IP cameras by Service Tracking Systems (STS). STS is a provider of various customer service applications. Arecont Vision megapixel IP cameras have been integrated for use in the HDCamPro high-definition camera lane system developed by STS. The application uses Arecont IP cameras to record the condition of vehicles down to every scratch and dent for the purposes of confirming or contradicting damage liability claims. Such an IP camera application requires the utmost clarity in picture resolution. Arecont Vision megapixel IP cameras feature the clarity and resolution needed for this application.

The cameras connect to an IP network that uses CVPS valet parking software from STS running on a Windows platform. A parking attendant can trigger the Arecont Vision cameras to capture megapixel images, which are stored locally in a JPEG format and later copied to a file server.
